Special to the Stow Sentry

The Stow-Munroe Falls High School DECA (An Association of Marketing Students) Club played its annual "Hoops 4 a Cause" staff vs. students' basketball game on Nov. 24 in the main gym at the high school. "We are still raising money in order to reach our $14,000 goal to build our 'Stow School,'" said Leah Wooten, senior DECA president. By being in the International Business Career Academy, having an international presence in Mali and working along with Dr. Scott Lacy (founder of African Sky and a Stow-Munroe Falls High School graduate) has really increased my global awareness and the desire to one day be involved in international business as a career. Our next event will be our Mali Ball Tournament on Dec. 18, in the high school gym." For more information on the "Stow School" being built in Mali, visit AfricanSky.org. Donations are always welcome to help reach the goal. Contact Lisa Mowls and/or Carrie Harris at st_mowls@smfcsd.org.and/or st_charris@smfcsd.org.
