Lions get ready to 'Race for Sight'

The Stow Munroe Falls Lions Club is busy getting ready for their "Race for Sight" fundraiser which will take place March 4 at the SYB Hall on Hudson Drive. The evening begins with a buffet dinner accompanied byraffles and sideboards. The main event is video horse racing with live commentary.

Annual Kiwanis Trivia Night set for Feb. 25

The Kiwanis Club of Stow-Munroe Falls is hosting its Seventh Annual Trivia Night on Feb. 25 at Silver Springs Lodge, 5027 Stow Road in Stow. The doors open at 6:30 p.m., Trivia starts at 7:15 p.m. Cost is $25/person, which includes pizza, salad, liquid refreshment, and 10 rounds of trivia.

Relay For Life plans fundraisers from Spa Night to lip sync contest

Now that the 2017 Stow Munroe Falls Hudson Relay For Life event season has begun, fundraisers are being planned to raise money to benefit the American Cancer Society and provide support for those touched by cancer. There will be a Gavin Scott Spa Night on March 10 from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

Slow-down tactics from Hudson don't stop Stow boys

The first time this season Stow-Munroe Falls played Hudson in boys basketball, it was a 62-28 blowout win for the Bulldogs at Hudson. Given that, Hudson head coach Jeff Brink opted to "shorten the game" when the two squared off Feb. 10 at Jay G. Tyree Gymnasium.

Celtic Club plans police K-9 event

The 13th annual Celtic Club St. Pet's Day/Bulldog Lift-a-thon is a benefit for the Stow Police K-9 fund. It is in memory of Stow Police K-9 Colt who passed away this past October. Colt's handler was Stow Police Sgt. Steve Miller. The event will take place on March 4 from 10 a.m. 2 p.m.
